Some wines simply grow older with age. Others become legends. Our upcoming auction offers some truly impressive examples!
Leading the way are 35 Madeiras, including five from the 19th century. The oldest, an 1850 Verdelho Reserva from d’Oliveiras, is an astonishing 176 years old! Bordeaux also shines with legendary vintages: Yquem 1928, Latour 1949, Mouton Rothschild 1959 and 1982, Haut-Brion 1961, Pétrus 1971 and Margaux 1982.
A particularly exciting discovery awaits in 16 lots from the “Patrimoines” treasure vault of Provins: specialities from the Valais spanning vintages from 1977 to 2020. Their remarkable ageing potential left us thoroughly impressed during a tasting with François Messer, Sales Director of Provins SA. You will find our tasting notes in the catalogue.
Burgundy delights with outstanding names such as Coche-Dury, Dujac, DRC, Raveneau, Roumier and Rousseau.
There is also an extensive selection of Italian wines from outstanding vintages with the potential to become legends: Burlotto, Elio Grasso, Fontodi, Felsina, Montevertine, Produttori del Barbaresco, San Giusto a Rentennano, Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Vietti and many more classics.
An exceptional array of German treasures from Dönnhoff, Keller and Egon Müller (Scharzhof and Le Gallais) awaits new owners!
For the first time, our catalogue notes also consistently include ratings from Vinous (Antonio Galloni and his team).
Two auction days filled with discoveries, iconic names and living wine history!
