Treasure hunt!

Throughout our lives, we are constantly searching for ‘treasures’: whether in love, in business, in holiday destinations or in the world of indulgence. The search for hidden moments and treasures of happiness is exciting and thrilling – as many a pirate could tell you. The best thing about it is that treasures can be found everywhere – if you look closely.

What counts as treasure for you as a wine lover is entirely individual. Is it the highly rated Grand Crus or perhaps the hard-to-find rarities? Do you prefer mature wines or youthful, exuberant ones? Red, white, large formats or small bottles?

Fortunately, we offer a variety of treasures for a wide range of personal preferences in this auction! Our catalogue serves as your treasure map.

Join Indiana Jones, Lara Croft and Sir Francis Drake: let’s go on a treasure hunt! We wish you lots of fun and good luck finding your treasure!

Highlights of the treasure hunt:

A large treasure map: The selection is particularly wide this time: an above-average number of wines from overseas are available, such as legendary Zinfandels from California and magnificent Shiraz from Australia. The most famous Chilean wines are also included, as is Napoleon III’s favourite wine: the sweet Constance from Cape Town!

Burgundy: Prices are attractive again and both white and red Burgundies are back in high demand. Not only the big names such as DRC, Leroy, Rousseau and Roumier et al are represented. There are also some rare guests, including Lamarche, Coche-Dury, Dauvissat, Raveneau, Liger-Belair, Bernstein, Groffier and many more. You should also mark the seven lots of the legendary Musigny from Vogüé with a big cross on your treasure map.

Not kidding – Austria is gorgeous! We were able to get our hands on an ingenious selection of Austrian wines, more than we usually do. And every treasure chest needs a few sparkling emeralds (Smaragd)! In addition to Mystique, Unendlich and Honivogl, you should also mark your map for Gerhard Kracher’s hand-signed anniversary TBA!

Italianità: Paolo Bardoscia, our new team member, is a proven Italy expert. Thanks to his keen and trained eye for great Italian wines, our selection is particularly exciting this time. Who will be your discovery: Conterno, Grasso, Sandrone, Dal Forno, Bibi Graetz? We are sure you will be surprised by the many treasures, large and small, that are waiting to be found. Chi cerca trova!

By the way: we tasted the 1998 Chardonnay Bussiador in the team – and found it to be fantastic!

From all corners of Switzerland: how about a vertical tasting of Pinot Noir Gantenbein? Or Donatsch? Perhaps Completer from Studach? There are also numerous rarities from Tatasciore in Neuchâtel. Or perhaps a sweet selection from Chappaz in Valais? Maybe mature whites from Geneva by Pellegrin? All these treasures can be found – and more!

Grosse Gewächse: is a Keller case a treasure chest? Definitely. The limited collection of Forster Kirchenstück from Dr. Bürklin-Wolf? Of course! And the Scharzhofberger Auslesen, Beerenauslesen and Eisweine? But yes! Whether Rausch, Goldgrube, Eselshaut, Sonnenuhr, Abtsberg or Herrenletten – all small and large treasures that promise enormous drinking pleasure!
